Carrie Silvia, ALC
Clinical Therapist
Carrie is a Clinical Therapist at Kids to Love and an Associate Licensed Counselor. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Studies from St. Mary’s College of Southern Maryland and later earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in 2026.
Before entering the counseling field, Carrie worked as a teacher and spent 18 years as a military spouse, eventually choosing to stay home to raise her five children, who range in age from 10 to 19. One of her children joined her family through adoption from a difficult and challenging background, giving Carrie personal experience with the unique joys and challenges faced by adoptive families. These experiences have given her a deep heart for children and families involved in foster care and adoption and a desire to support families as they navigate difficult seasons.
Carrie is passionate about helping children and families develop healthy relationships, build emotional regulation skills, and process difficult experiences in a safe and supportive environment. She is trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and incorporates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into her work.
Carrie is honored to be part of the Kids to Love team and to use both her professional training and personal experiences to support children and families in meaningful ways.
