Plus, TBI survivor and author of Lost in My Mind, Kelly Bouldin Darmofal is the lunch speaker. This event will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Catherine Brubaker M.S.L. Founder- Hope For Trauma/Brain Injury Survivor – will close the session as guest speaker sharing her experience on her road to recovery and her quest to regain independence through adaptive cycling as she crosses the nation on her Catrike 700 adaptive cycle for the second time post injury.

In 2014, to bring attention and hope to brain injury survivors, Catherine Brubaker rode from Anacortes, Washington to Key West, Florida. After the ride, to bring a national conversation about brain injuries, and to raise money to provide recumbent trikes to traumatic brain injury (TBI) survivors, she founded “Hope for Trauma”. Catherine now travels the country speaking on behalf of TBI survivors and raising funds for her foundation.

On February 13, 2016, Hope for Trauma in conjunction with Spokes Fighting Strokes announced a second nationwide cycling journey from Anacortes, WA to Boston, MA. www.facebook.com/irideforhope

The goal of “Sea to Sea” Hope ~ Freedom ~ Recovery is to fund an adaptive cycling program for brain injury/stroke survivors which will be implemented upon return in Tempe, Arizona as a winter ride series.

Ms. Brubaker invites anyone to help fight for the millions of Americans affected by brain injury participating in the conversation online at www.facebook.com/irideforhope and/or contributing by donation. Every dollar counts. Every pedal counts.

Hope For Trauma is a non-profit organization. Donations may be tax deductible.
